Colorado Springs winters are no joke. Neither is the sacrifice of our veterans.
Veterans served so the rest of us could be safe and warm at home. A&Z Mechanical has been Family Operated in Colorado Springs since 2001, and we are giving back by replacing one veteran’s furnace from start to finish. This winter, we are giving back by installing a new furnace for one veteran. If you know a veteran who deserves a reliable, comfortable home, nominate them. It takes about two minutes.

How It Works
- Nominate. Fill out the form below by November 17, 2026. Tell us who they are and why you’re nominating them.
- We draw. On November 18, 2026, A&Z Mechanical selects one winner completely at random from all eligible nominations.
- We call and install. We contact the winner, who has 7 days to respond, and then schedule the installation of their new Champion furnace.
Who Can Be Nominated
Anyone can nominate - family, friends, neighbors, church groups, VFW and American Legion posts. Veterans can even nominate themselves.
- Currently serving on active duty, or a veteran discharged or retired from the U.S. military (including the Coast Guard and Reserve) under honorable conditions
- 18 or older
- Owns and lives in their home within our service area (El Paso and Teller counties)
- Willing to give our team access to the home and existing unit for the replacement
You don’t need to own a home or be a veteran to nominate someone. You just need to be 18 or older.
Our Thank You
Everyone who nominates a veteran receives a $50 coupon by email when the giveaway ends. Every nominated veteran who isn’t selected receives a $75 coupon. Coupons apply to jobs valued at $200 or more and are valid for 6 months. Terms are in the Official Rules.
What the prize includes
The prize covers the furnace and installation labor. Any additional costs, such as permits, ductwork or gas line modifications, electrical work, and code corrections, are the homeowner’s responsibility.

What does the winner receive?

Absolutely. If you're a veteran in need, we'd be honored to hear your story.
Can I nominate more than one veteran?
Yes - please submit a separate nomination for each veteran.
How is the winner chosen?
Our team reviews every nomination and selects one veteran on November 18 based on need, story, and eligibility. The winner will be announced on November 20.
Does the nominee need to know I nominated them?
It's okay to keep it a surprise! We'll reach out to the nominee before any public announcement to confirm details and get their permission.
When will the new system be installed?
We'll work with the winner to schedule installation at a time that's convenient for them, as soon as possible after the announcement.
